I recognise everything on this list except the bottom left and the bottom right. And I can definitely smell the pink strips in the middle!
These photographs brought back memories of my beloved L’Oréal plenitude beauty range from the mid-90s. It was the first ever skincare range that I discovered on my own as an adult. Prior to that I had always just used the products my mother had used (Pond’s, Oil of Olay).
The first hair products I ever used were by Helene Curtis. My mother used to use Helene Curtis shampoo cream in the pot. It had a lovely smell and the texture was very thick. It was a gorgeous pearly pink colour. I continued to use it into the 1980s until you could not longer find it.
…and (drum roll!) the first hair styling product I ever used (in the 1970s I think) – Helene Curtis Suave. It was pretty much the only one out there at the time. It was very thick and made my hair so flat! Lanolin was big in those days it seems.
